Friends of the GMA

There is a supporting society for all activities of the Global Music Academy:

It is called the „Supporting Society Global Music Academy Berlin e.V.“ (Förderkreis Hochschule für Weltmusik Berlin e.V.)

In order to realise their aims, the supporting society is assigned to certain tasks:

• The society campaigns for the financial and idealistic support and promotion of the Global Music Academy. It consolidates the position as well as the work of the Academy by attracting extraordinary society members.

• The society consults and supports the Global Music Academy during the time of its foundation and establishment and will help to conserve and improve the equipment by in-kind contribution of its full and exceptional members and by the allocation of the acquired means.

• The society supports selected students of the Global Music Academy by giving full- and partial scholarships. It gets involved in the establisment of additional professorship and the invitation of known musicians and scientists as guest lecturers of the Global Music Academy.

• The society consults and supports the Global Music Academy concerning the artistical, pedagogical a scientifical education, projects of international cultural cooperation as well as research undertakings in the field of musical theory, musical pedagogy and musiccultural economics.
